Ground Floor: Enter the cottage by the stable door into the Entrance Hall, which has a tiled floor.
The large Kitchen/Dining Room with its beamed ceiling and tiled floor is very well equipped. It has built in units and a microwave, dishwasher, automatic washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, electric oven, gas hob, extractor fan and a pine dining table, six chairs and a children’s highchair. There is a large cupboard where you will find an iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner and other cleaning accessories should you require them.
French doors lead out onto your own patio and barbecue area, where you can relax, marvel at the spectacular sunsets and get back in touch with nature in this wonderful rural setting.
The extremely spacious, delightfully decorated and carpeted Sitting Room has yet another beamed ceiling. When relaxing in the comfortable three-seated sofa, two-seater sofa or armchair your eyes are drawn to the attractive brick fireplace with gas “coal burner effect” fire which forms the central feature of the room and to farming memorabilia of days-gone-by that adorn the walls. This room has a colour television and video/DVD and local tourist information in folders on the coffee table.
French doors open out to another patio with garden furniture where you can sit and enjoy the early morning sun.
In this cottage there is a Downstairs Toilet. This room is fitted out to a very high standard with tiled walls and a wash hand basin. The gas central heating boiler is also situated here.
The wooden stairs to the First Floor have a handrail on the left hand side and a gate at the top, which is normally hooked back but can be used for child safety when needed.
There are three beautifully decorated bedrooms, all furnished with locally crafted pine furniture and fitted carpets. The beds in this cottage are fitted with headboards but do not have footboards so are very suited to the taller person. Extra light switches are situated by the bed to control the main lights.
The Twin Bedroom has a small bedside chest of draws between the two single beds and a bedside light. A wardrobe stands next to the glass-topped dressing table, which has draws down one side and its own freestanding mirror, a table lamp is provided for extra lighting if needed. There is an upholstered stool to sit on at the dressing table.
The Double Bedroom has bedside lamps on small chests of draws each side of the bed, a glass-topped dressing table with draws, mirror and table lamp and a pine wardrobe to compliment the other furniture.
A small window permits lovely views of the swimming pool and surrounding area, while the other window overlooks the archway between Pantiles Barn and Purlin Barn.
You will be amazed at the size of the main Double Bedroom, which has an En-suite shower, toilet and wash hand basin vanity unit. Drapes adorn the wall behind the 5-foot bed. Bedside lamps are on small chests of draws each side of the bed and a radio alarm clock is provided in case you need an early morning awakening during your stay. There is a large pine wardrobe and a glass-topped dressing table, which has draws and a separate mirror and table lamp. A hairdryer is provided for your convenience. An upholstered stool complements the drapes of the bed and a large cuddly bunny sits on a chair nearby. Wonderful panoramic views of this beautiful countryside can be seen through the French doors that open into the bedroom and have a wrought iron balustrade.
The large Bath Room with shower and toilet are again fitted out to a very high standard with tiled walls and a wash hand basin vanity unit.
