Farm Holiday self catering accommodation with swimming pool. Luxurious and comfortable. Sleeps six plus cot. Wheelchair access.
Wheelchair access and additional facilities for the able bodied and people with disabilities.
Ground Floor: We enter the cottage by the stable door into the Entrance Hall, which has a tiled floor.
Tourist and other interesting information on the local area are in a folder above a small cupboard containing books and games, neatly tucked away under the stairs.
The Kitchen with its beamed ceiling and tiled floor is very well equipped. It has built in units and a microwave, dishwasher, automatic washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, electric oven, gas hob and an extractor fan. There is a large cupboard where you will find an iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner and other cleaning accessories.
The kitchen is creatively screened from the carpeted and beamed Sitting/Dinning room by an unusual attractive wall, built from the reclaimed bricks of the original 17th Century building. Farming memorabilia of years gone by adorn the walls and make an interesting focus as you relax in the comfortable three-seated sofa, two-seater sofa or armchair. This room has a colour television and video/DVD, a coffee table, dining table and six chairs. French doors lead out to your own patio where you can relax and admire the spectacular sunsets and open landscape of this rural setting.
The large attractively tiled downstairs Bathroom is designed as a “wet room” for people who might be less mobile. It has level floor access to the shower, a shower seat attached to the wall, a full size bath with small handles on the bath sides, a toilet and small wash hand basin. Handles are strategically placed in positions to aid assistance if needed.
Next to the bathroom is a beautifully decorated and carpeted Twin bedroom, which has a table lamp on a small bedside chest between two single beds. Wheelchair access is to one bed only and there is a light switch by the bed to operate the main ceiling light. The hand crafted pine wardrobe has been especially designed with a lower rail and the door opens the correct way for a wheelchair user. The attached dressing table and draws has a glass top with mirror, table lamp, hairdryer and stool. There are two curtained windows. One window overlooks your second patio with a brick barbecue and the other has views across the grass meadow.
The stairs to the First Floor have a wooden handrail on the right hand side and a gate at the top, which is normally hooked back but can be used for child safety when needed.
Here you will find another two bedrooms also superbly decorated and both with fitted carpets. These bedrooms have Velux fire escape windows, fitted with black out blinds to keep the rooms cool in the summer months. All bedrooms have switches by the bed to operate the main ceiling lights.
The Double Bedroom has a four-poster bed adorned with drapes. There are bedside lamps on small chests each side of the bed and a radio alarm clock is provided in case you need an early morning call during your stay. There is a large pine wardrobe and a glass-topped dressing table, which has draws and a separate mirror. A hairdryer is provided for your convenience. An upholstered stool complements the drapes of the bed and a large cuddly bunny sits on a chair nearby.
The second Twin Bedroom has two bedside lamps and a freestanding mirror on a chest of draws between the two single beds. A curtained window permits lovely views of the swimming pool and surrounding area. A pine wardrobe compliments the other furniture.
The Shower Room and toilet are again fitted out to a very high standard with tiled walls and a wash hand basin vanity unit.
